Top Secret Skin Tip: The Face Massage

One of the great luxuries of living alone is you can spend inordinate amounts of time doing… whatever you damn well please. For me this tends to happen in the bathroom, Netflix binges in the bathtub, organizing and cleaning to obsessive proportions, and my favorite (which happens most nights): solo dance parties.

A new top secret skin tip I’ve added to my routine involves indulging in a nightly face massage. The first few times I did it I followed along with the soothing, accented narration of this video. Now I’ve pretty much got the hang of draining my glands, unlocking my nodes, relaxing my muscles, and twisting my frown lines all on my own. I like to use tamanu oil for my oily, acne-prone skin because it’s a natural astringent, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. I could explain the benefits to you (do the words non-surgical facelift sound enticing?), but it is probably more convincing coming from London’s top facialist to the stars, Alexandra Soveral.

Watch her magic fingers at work and tell me this voice is not totally soothing to you.
