Let’s Call It 90’s

I’m on a high from the glorious weather we had this weekend in Austin. Truly, the most awe-inspiring weather I’ve experienced since my trip to Washington this summer. It rained Friday and once that cleared we were left with crisp, cool air, clear skies and just enough sun to feel warm on your bare shoulders. I spent both Saturday and Sunday basking in its glory in the park.

The not-sweltering heat actually convinced me that I felt chilly so more than once this weekend I walked out the door with more clothing than was necessary. But no matter, 90’s-inspired style is totally acceptable right now so I tied my shirt around my waist a la Kurt Cobain and rolled with it. I even kinda liked the results.

Speaking of 90’s, did you know Saved by the Bell is on Netflix? I saw it with friends this weekend and Zack Morris is STILL a babe, despite his mock turtle neck sweaters and high waisted jeans. I realized that at the time that I watched that show (and for the decade that followed) I thought that Zack, Kelly, Lisa, Jessie and Slater were THE coolest people on the planet. I couldn’t conceive of anyone or anything cooler than eating lunch with them in their technicolor cafeteria. Come to think of it, I still do kinda feel that way.

I love you Zack,

xoxo C
