INTERIORS:: Portrait + Elizabeth Taylor

I believe a good portrait has the power to inject a room with the characteristics of the person pictured. If you want a bedroom or nursery to project strong, feminine confidence, then Elizabeth Taylor is certainly the woman for the job. The pink nursery above is actually in this home I featured last week (the one owned by the rockstar and Brazilian designer) and there is no denying the striking impact Ms. Taylor has on the entire room. I found the cool blue Cleopatra bedroom while reading Lonny’s new online magazine TradHome. Be sure to check out TradHome even if “traditional” isn’t your thing. As Editor Michelle Adams so accurately put it “traditionalism is not a thing of the past but rather a foundation upon which cutting-edge contemporary aesthetics can transform a room.” – I couldn’t agree more!
