LOOKBOOK:: ALEXANDER WANG RESORT 2011

Guys, we need to talk. We all know A. Wang can do no wrong. Right? But these socks and sandals, I’m sorry, but they are wrong. Not because they’re fundamentally nonsensical (which they are), but because they’re unflattering! I’m all for taking fashion risks and standing out from the crowd but ultimately, it is most important to me that clothes are flattering. Yet as expected, I’m loving the knits and jackets!
And ladies, I spy a killer clutch for next season.

  1. ahh, I see what you’re saying hahaha but the heeled sandals aren’t so bad. Really just the flat ones…remind of Teva’s from years past (a LOT of years past..like..1991, and the trend died fast..)

    socks and sandals does not equal sockies and heels, which are kind of charming IF done the right way..

  2. I agree, not flattering at all. But I remember thinking the same about gladiators… And how popular did they become.
    Thank you for sending me the C. Roitfeld quote. I loved it so much I mentioned it (and you) in my post today. xx

  3. oh gah i’m with you on this one. wth is up w/the shoes? must have been visiting his granny when he came up w/those. no offense to his granny – i’m hoping she’s rocking a heel!
